Malvern Hoops Campaign – A Community Call to Action!

Three years ago, we made history! After a determined 6-year campaign, we delivered the best outdoor basketball courts Malvern has ever seen in August 2021. Since then, these courts have been in constant use, rain or shine—filled with people of all ages, shooting hoops, building skills, and making lifelong memories.

These courts are more than just a place to play. They’re the heartbeat of our community, a training ground for the next generation of athletes, and the hub for our annual basketball camps where kids can learn new skills in a fun, supportive environment.

However, after three years of continuous use, our beloved courts are starting to show signs of wear. From the pole padding to the backboard buffers, some of the equipment has reached the end of its life, and we need your help to keep our courts in top condition.

The council has agreed to cover half of the renovation costs, which total £2,250. This includes four new pole pads (most of which have worn out), four new backboard buffers (which have all cracked or broken) and four new outdoor all-weather nets. Now, it’s up to us—the community that built these courts—to raise the remaining £1,125!

We’ve heard from players and parents who love these courts and are eager to help maintain them. Now’s the time to pitch in!

This is a team effort! The faster we raise the funds, the sooner we can order the new equipment and get everything back in prime shape for many more years of fun and competition.
