Fundraiser and support for the family of the late Victoria Addei -Nunoo.
On Thursday, August 23rd 2018, we heard the very devastating news that our dear friend and colleague Vic, as we affectionately called her, had gone home to be with the Lord after her battle with a rare form of Kidney cancer over the last 2- 3 years. Vic was a part of the graduating class of BSc Mathematics 2000 from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and MS Computational Science and Informatics 2004 from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. Vic began teaching right after graduate school because of her desire to impact peoples' lives. Vic changed many lives in the VA and MD area from when she began teaching in 2004 until she could no longer teach due to poor health.
She trusted God through her entire battle believing that the good Lord will turn her situation around, but alas, the Lord had the final say.
How could this be? How could this happen to such an intelligent and smart lady who loved the Lord with all her heart. God knows best is all we can say.
For right now, all we can do is to hold the family up in prayer in these days leading to the funeral and in the days ahead. We also need to help financially to offset the funeral cost and also to support the 3 young children she left behind: Yvette (9), Ivan (7) and Theophilus (5) . These children are left to grow up without their beloved mother, but we can support them with some funds to make life a little bit enjoyable for them.
The family is endlessly grateful to all those from around the world who have reached out with the concern of their well-being during this terribly difficult time.
We need your help ... We are hoping to raise $20,000 to help the family, as her beloved husband Eben Nunoo must now solely take care for his 3 young children. Funds raised will go directly to offset part of the funeral expense and to provide household help and basic necessities for the family's immediate needs, as well as help provide for the children's future.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to her husband. Any amount helps. We thank you in advance for your donation, and please pray for the family. We will let you know about the funeral arrangements as we receive more information from the family.
