The last week of August 2017 marked one of the most devastating natural disasters in American history. Hurricane Harvey impacted so many people across such a vast area of land that it will likely be years before the true numbers of its devastation come to light.

Today however, we (Children, Grandchildren and other close family members) are trying to raise funds to undo the damange wrought by Harvey in the lives of two individuals who are outstanding Parents, Grandparents and Texans. We are hoping to raise money, alongside our own family funding to place these two incredible people into a new home and repair the incredible hole Harvey left in their lives. All funds will be spent in their entirety to secure permanent living arrangements and basic living necessessities for the beneficiaries.

Victor and Vlasta Brenk have been gone from their home of over 40 years for the past week only to return and find it utterly ravaged by the CO river.
Having had over 4 feet of water in the house, their lives have been reduced to a few boxes of keepsakes and pictures either rescued during their harried evacuation or on shelves too high up to be destroyed during this historic flood.

Victor, a Korean War Veteran, and his wife Vlasta chose to spend their few precious hours of their evacuation ensuring the safety of their 3 dogs and 41 pet chickens.
This selfless thought and action repeated itself throughout their many years and would come as no surprise for anyone that knew them well.

Now, as they set forth with no home and no belongings they are faced with the very real situation of beginning a new at age 89.

We, their family, are pooling our resources and putting together this campaign to help them secure a new home and restore some small measure of normalcy to their lives. We hope that those touched in their lives by Victor and Vlasta will be able to provide support as well as any of the great Americans across the country, far and wide, that help do incredible things every day.
