Kilimanjaro For Wooden Spoon

Donation protected
Hi all,

On February 24th, 2018 myself and 10 other ladies from Cox Automotive will climb mount Kilimanjaro.
For those of you that know me I'm sure your surprised - previous toughest challenges include deciding which nail colour to choose and whether to go for a rose or prosecco - so yes slightly off piste

Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity Wooden Spoon, which is a Rugby based charity that provides things such as sensory rooms, specialist playgrounds and sports activity areas to respite, medical and community care supporting disadvantaged and disabled children.

The climb to the top and down again takes 8 days, and will see us trekking through farmland, forest and alpine moorlands and sleeping in tents enduring temperatures as low as -20 and walking for up to 15 hours a day!

We need to collect as much money as possible by the end of the year and will all be arranging additional fundraising events if you really want to make us work a bit harder for donations.

All donations are gratefully received and all collected by myself and the rest of the team get rounded up, and then presented to Wooden Spoon collectively.

Also some info on Women with Drive which has organised this fantastic opportunity.

Women with Drive exists to celebrate the work of women in the automotive industry. It is an inclusive movement built to support female achievements, aspirations and successes, with a ‘think big’ attitude and a space for every voice.

Since our launch on International Women’s Day 2016, our regular events have empowered women and men in the Cox Automotive team, championing equality and ambition both in and out of the workplace.

We will continue to promote a diverse, positive workforce that has the power to inspire every member, and gives every woman the opportunity to reach her full potential.
