Close to a year ago, Vicky learned she had an agressive type of breast cancer. After undergoing two different rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and then radiation treatment, she continues to move forward and is ready to get back to living!
Vicky hopes to turn this challenging time into a meaningful focus on helping others as they struggle to tackle this horrible disease. Vicky's determination, strength, perseverance and SMILE have been a blessing and a motivating force for all who have witnessed the way she has tackled her illness. She's a fighter and does it with exuberant joy and a gleam in her eye!
Vicky finished her final radiation treatment on 10/3 - this is her picture afterwards! It’s been a long road, mentally, physically and financially. Fortunately, Vicky has appreciated great medical benefits, but has been on a reduced salary due to long term disability and the financial burden has weighed heavily on her savings. We would like to help Vicky replenish by providing her with financial support for medical bills as well as an opportunity to rejuvenate - maybe even take a couple days to enjoy friends and family before heading back to work!
