Vicky's Ministerial Training - All Phases

Donation protected

Thank you for your participation in my campaign to fund my becoming a Minister of Science of Mind, through Centers for Spiritual Living. Here is the website to our national and international home office: www.csl.org. Your investment of encouragement, prayer or a donation is deeply appreciated.

I am funding ministerial school in phases. Ultimately, I will complete twenty-nine courses over a period of three to five years. As I prepare for each class or set of classes, I want to tell my supporters what the donated funds are being applied to. This campaign, #2, is to pay for my registration and travel expenses to go in person to the School of Spiritual Leadership campus in Orlando, Florida, to attend my third class, Ministers as Teachers.

What’s Happened Since Campaign #1

The first two classes are in session now. They are, The History of New Thought and Metaphysical Bible. I am fired up and focused, and I anticipate doing well. In addition to these classes, I am now mid-stream in the application process. Applying for the program has three phases; twenty-nine pages of application forms, extensive background check, and the entrance interview with the dean. I am excited to fully be able to say, “I am a ministerial candidate!” Blessings to everyone for supporting me in getting to this point.

My Back Story

The journey to become a CSL Minister begins with becoming a licensed Practitioner of our teaching, which is Science of Mind. I was licensed as a Practitioner in August, 1991. Upon completion of ministerial school, Centers for Spiritual Living ministers must serve for two years before the privilege of ordination.

From 1982 to 1986, I completed my Practitioner training in Spring, Texas, and served as a licensed Practitioner with Creative Life Spiritual Center for seventeen years. In September, 2006, I moved to Louisville, Kentucky and began a Science of Mind Study Group as a means of learning how I might be of service in the Kentucky/Indiana area. The study group grew quickly, and by the spring of 2009, we received our charter as Louisville Center for Spiritual Living (LCSL). Today we are located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Here is the link to our LCSL website: www.lcslonline.org. You can find recordings of our Sunday Services, including many that I have facilitated on Face Book: www.facebook.com/LCSLonline.org/

Being born with Cerebral Palsy has instilled in me a passion for self-healing and faith in God, with conviction. In 2001, that passion brought me into the field of Pre- and Perinatal Psychology, as I was investigating my experience of trauma during birth. I spent seventeen years learning about the effects of prenatal and birth trauma, and how to resolve the effects of birth trauma, working with a pioneer in the field of trauma healing, Dr. William Emerson. During my earliest experiences discovering my own birth story, I realized that the roots of intimate personal beliefs about ourselves and about life are set in the journey getting here through conception, gestation and birth. You can see Dr. Emerson’s website at www.emersonbirthrx.com. It was through Dr. Emerson that I was introduced to the Association for Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH) Through APPPAH, I became a Pre- and Perinatal Educator, in July, 2014. APPPAH’s website is at www.birthpsychology.com.

Today my vision for ministry is holding myself open with all that I have in service to bring the combination of this information and experience about the profound impacts that our prenatal and birth experiences have on faith and how we see ourselves, life and the world to as many people as humanly possible. I believe this combination is the key to long-term resolution for a number of humanity’s most pressing challenges now.
