Via 313 Workers Are Launching a Restaurant Union

We’re the workers at Via 313, Austin’s premier Detroit-style pizza chain, and we’re coming together across all three flagship locations to form our union. We’ve been organizing and standing together for months and are finally ready to win the changes we need. We’ve seen workers across the country, from Starbucks to Amazon, winning their unions. It’s time for us to win too.

Restaurant workers all over this country need profound change—we need livable wages, paid sick time, an end to harassment and discrimination, and the respect we deserve. After years of organizing, we’ve learned that the only way to make that happen is for us to unite and build our own union. That’s why we decided to form Restaurant Workers United — the democratic, worker-led union for America’s restaurant workers. Together, we are changing our industry from the bottom up.
