Helping a father in Need!!!

Helping my sick father who currently uses oxygen 24/7 plus he sleeps with a breathing machine at night time. Heres our sad story

Losing a mother it does not happen in a moment.
It takes years to appreciate the impact of what’s gone. 

Our mother Besabed Roman, was given the news of being a positive Covid-19 patient. She develop symptoms on March 12. She continued to worsen throughout the days and decided to head to UIC Medical Center Emergency Room on Monday, March 16 around 6:45am. Our mom called us and told us on March 17 that she was told she tested positive. All she said was... I have so much pain in my chest which is causing me so much trouble to breathe. Later, that day the doctors called me, and told me that she was going to need breathing support and the best option was for her to get intubated connected to a ventilator. All the updates were...she is critical but stable we have her in the ventilator and she is getting antibiotics and we want her to rest so her lungs can rest as well. Those were the updates from March 17 until March 31. On Tuesday, March 31 around 6am, our mom had develop a high fever and her white blood cells were high which meant she had another infection. We were all scared and just did not know what to think. Around 9pm the doctors called me and say that they had already tried everything on their ends and that our mom was not going to make it and that if we would like to say our goodbyes. Due to this Covid-19, there were no visitors allowed. The doctors used a cellphone to put on speaker close to our mothers ear. All of us said our goodbyes. Our mom left, she left four daughters, one son, and her husband. We all know that one day we will all die but not this way, she died alone without having her husband and children by her side. She passed away on March 31, 2020. She was a great mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend and everyone that met our mother knows that she will forever be missed. 


Our mother left, but we are all very concerned for our father and brother. My brother is 14 years old and our mother was his best friend. Our dad is devastated he has been with our mother for 31 years. Our fathers health is somehow critical with all of this with Covid-19. He has asthma and only has one lung. He needs oxygen 24/7 plus he sleeps with a breathing machine at night time. He also takes his inhalers daily and also uses his nebulizer treatment machine twice every day. I was told by his pulmonary doctor that if my father would get the Covid-19, he will not even make it to a week. My father and brother were both in contact with my mother for three days before she went into to the hospital. We were advised for them to be self quarantine. 


The world is going through something really tragic with Covid-19, but I would like to express that we are really concerned for my father and brother and any help that is received we will really appreciate. To close this off, I would like to end it with saying that Covid-19 is REAL. We just lost an amazing women and she will forever be miss. Please take precaution stay safe and please stay home.

Gracias a todos por su atencion estamos haciendo una campaña para ayudar a nuestro Papá  Arturo Morales El martes 31 de Marzo 2020 fallecio nuestra mama victima del Covid-19 Nuestra mama dejo mi hermano Daniel de 14 años quien estudia la secundaria. Mi papa tiene deficiencias para respirar ya que solo cuenta con un pulmon y tiene asma. Estamos buscando ayuda para poderle seguir cubriendo sus tratamientos ya que por el momento el no puede salir a trabajar.


Nuestra madre se fue, pero todos estamos muy preocupados por nuestro padre y hermano. Mi hermano tiene 14 años y nuestra madre era su mejor amiga. Nuestro padre está devastado porque ha estado con nuestra madre durante 31 años. La salud de nuestros padres es de alguna manera crítica con todo esto con Covid-19. Tiene asma y solo tiene un pulmón. Necesita oxígeno las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, además, duerme con una máquina de respiración por la noche. También toma sus inhaladores diariamente y también usa su máquina de tratamiento con nebulizador dos veces al día. Su médico pulmonar me dijo que si mi padre recibiera el Covid-19, ni siquiera llegaría a una semana. Mi padre y mi hermano estuvieron en contacto con mi madre durante tres días antes de que ella ingresara al hospital. Nos aconsejaron que se pusieran en cuarentena.


El mundo está pasando por algo realmente trágico con Covid-19, pero me gustaría expresar que estamos realmente preocupados por mi padre y mi hermano y apreciaremos cualquier ayuda que recibamos. Para cerrar esto, me gustaría terminar diciendo que Covid-19 es REAL. Acabamos de perder a una mujer increíble y ella siempre será extrañada. Por favor tome precauciones, manténgase a salvo y por favor quédese en casa
