VHI Mini marathon in aid of the Anchor Club Malahide

Hello! My name is Ciara DQ and on June 2nd I will be running the VHI women’s mini marathon in aid of the brilliant Anchor Club in Malahide.

A little bit about the Anchor Club

The Anchor Club was set up in 2017 for local children with additional needs. It is run by parents and aims to provide an enjoyable, stimulating and safe youth club for our children and their families to enjoy. Children with special needs often find it difficult to participate in local clubs and organisations, and can lack opportunities to socialise and have fun with their peers. We meet seasonally and weekly during the summer months when the schools close down. We enjoy a range of activities and we welcome children whatever their disability or condition and accept children of all ages. We also encourage parental and sibling attendance and the parents have formed a strong support network. No child is left out and every child is celebrated.
