Mrs. Gaeta's Classroom

Hello! My name is Rosalyn Gaeta and I am a 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at DATA. In my classroom art projects are continually being integrated into our Language Arts and Ancient History curriculum. My students’ creativity never ceases to amaze me. Donating to this campaign will allow me to provide my students with engaging and challenging creative opportunities throughout the year.  

My top reasons why art in the classroom is so important:
-Art help connect students to what they are learning and make the content more accessible and interesting to students. 
-Art fosters critical and higher-level thinking. 
-Art helps students to understand and express abstract ideas. 
-Art builds our classroom community and provides natural opportunities for student collaboration. 
-Art is active and creates hands-on learning experiences. 

This fundraiser will directly support art projects throughout the year such as: 
-Egyptian canopic jars 
-Indian chalk designs 
-Cave painting 
-Movie making
-Puppet making
-Chinese printmaking
-And much more!

Money from this fundraiser will also help purchase supplies to help build and enhance the overall culture and experience in my classroom. Examples of this will be headphones for students to practice their listening skills or create movies with, new classroom library books, and technology resources for class projects.  

Many projects in my classroom are made possible by the generosity of DATA friends and family. Please consider donating to help cover the costs of art materials and supplemental supplies.
