A shop, workshop space and cafe, Folk Like These is all about creativity. We started as a small stall making creative goods to sell at markets and with a passion for food decided to combine the two. We opened our Moseley shop front in December 2019 and have had a tricky few months. We have loved being a part of a community and have worked hard to keep ourselves afloat as a new business.
Over the last few months we have started to grow a brilliant team of dedicated people and with the current situation we want to make sure we can continue to support them as well as the wider community. We are looking for your support to keep our business above water. We want to make sure that our employees can pay their bills, no matter what happens in the future pending government advice.
HOW TO HELP
Please help us by donating so we can keep the lights on even if we have to shut the shutters. We have had a difficult start to our business with Brexit, two storms and now COVID-19.
WAYS TO GIVE BACK
We are looking at ways to continue the work we had started by providing coffee and food as a take away service and moving our workshops to online so they can be accessed remotely. Currently, we have already set up a weekly Wednesday free workshop via instagram live #folklikethesedrawtogether at 12pm. More details of free downloadable worksheets and ways to get involved can be found at our website www.folklikethese.co.uk
We know that this is a difficult time for many members of our community and that self isolation and working from home provides its own challenges. We hope that we can be of service to those that need it and can continue to bring creativity to you, wherever you are.
