VFW 2604 Orland-Palos: Virtual Poppy Days

2020  Virtual  Poppy  Days

Each year, the members of VFW Post 2604  honor our fallen brothers and sisters, as well as all veterans, by hosting Poppy Days.  We post ourselves outside of local businesses, restaurants, and grocery stores to collect donations in support of area veterans and the organizations on which they rely.  We distribute poppies, the flowers that grew in the battlefields of Flanders where thousands of WWI soldiers died, in remembrance.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are unable to fundraise in person this year.  We accept the direction of the Illinois state government, and wish to keep everyone involved healthy and safe.  In order to still honor our fallen comrades, and all local veterans, we are asking that you please make this year's donation through this Virtual Poppy Days campaign.

Your generous donations will help us support the VFW National Home for Orphaned Children, the Illinois Veterans Home in both LaSalle and Manteno, Illinois, the Blind Center at Hines VA Hospital,  and many local veterans in Orland Park, Palos Heights, Palos Park, and beyond.

Thank you for your donation.  Stay safe, stay well, and never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
