Help save Cookie!

On 12/28/17 my dad was walking Cookie in the neigborhood as usual. All of a sudden a pit bull ran out from his front yard while Cookie was trying to do her business. However, that pit bull ran out not to say hi, but jumped on Cookie. The owner immediately ran out from his house. Unfortunately, the pit bull bit Cookie so hard that even its owner couldn’t remove Cookie from its tight grasp. Cookie cried out painfully loud the entire time. That crying was only the start of the nightmare. The owner of the pit bull desperately tried to separate them and in doing so, Cookies abdomen was ripped wide open. I couldn’t imagine how much pain Cookie was in since her innards was hanging out In front of her! Fortunately, the ER veterinarian said they can save her since none of her organs were damaged. Cookie’s current state in the hospital is stable, but there is still a chance for infection.
The pit bull’s owner promised me that he would pay for all of Cookie’s medical bills. Sadly, the promise only lasted momentarily. I kept knocking on his door and his son told me “my dad is not at home.” At that moment I knew his promise was false and I was on my own. Cookie has been a good girl to me and my family for almost 8 years! She is more than a dog to me! She is my family, friend and also my kid! Nothing would be the same without her! Unfortunately, the medical bill is way more than I can handle. Please, help me save Cookie! Thank you so much for reading, caring and helping Cookie! My family and I truly appreciate it!
