VFCA - Taking Care Of Each Other

Tax deductible
I've seen VFCA shift their entire teaching paradigm on a dime to move from in-person to on-line in less than a week — only God could have pulled that off.

I've witnessed and/or heard the stories of how the entire VFCA staff - teachers, hourly workers, pastors and volunteers - come together to prepare lessons, work with families to get them set up, make sure families in need have gift cards to Walmart for food and can keep their kids in a Christian school.

I've heard the stories of children kneeling in front of their computers praying with a child-like faith that inspires us all as their teachers prayed for them and over them and their families.

I have heard the heaviness on Patti Simon's heart as she talks about how concerned she is for the employees she loves, the ones who depend on LVA being open and hourly wages to buy much needed supplies for their families at home — these are the same people that have loved on our kids, many of our kids who may have been at VFCA since they were babies.

There isn't much we can do to save the world, but we can all come together to save our communities — the ones who we interact with everyday.

This is a wakeup call from God, a chance to focus on what matters and to live out our faith. This is a chance for us to gather together and to demonstrate to the world what true Christ-following is all about — loving and taking care of each other, providing for each other's needs. This is how the world knew Jesus in the days of Acts—because of how we, the Church, the body of Christ, took care of each other.

Now's our opportunity. Let's raise some money, as much as we possible can, to help Valley take care of our own—our vulnerable students and their families who will lose their jobs/income, our vulnerable staff who are hourly waged and our precious school who pours into our kids and families so greatly. Let's rally together and make this happen.

I'm just one parent, but I know I'm one of many who have reached out to Patti to see how we can help. Now, I'm organizing this on VFCA's behalf. I'm choosing to use their 501c3 and have them gather and disperse funds because they know the stories of the most vulnerable and they are honorable people who will use these funds to the glory of God. God will use this story for the saving of many people and to bring many into a closer relationship with Him.

My goal is to help them raise enough to cover April/May salaries for hour hourly employees and to help cover the food/bills/urgent expenses of the most vulnerable in our school.

Please join us! Let's give sacrificially knowing that it's our community that will help everyone get through this and be stronger on the other side.

To God be the glory.
