Veteran's Memorial at Harambee

My name is William Henderson, an aspiring Eagle Scout from Troop 507 in La Canada. The rank of Eagle Scout is something I have been working towards for the past 5 years, and now I have almost achieved it. The last step for me is to complete my Eagle Scout Project, a project that needs to be planned and carried out by the Eagle Scout Candidate to benefit a community.
     My project is the construction and beautification of a Veteran's Memorial at Harambee Ministries in Pasadena, CA.  Harambee Ministries's mission has been to provide underprivileged children with an affordable education and families with affordable housing near the school.  The funds raised from this fundraiser will go towards paying for a pedestal, plaque, rose bushes, a new gate, and new benches. The area that my project is revamping will be used by the teachers at Harambee as an open area for outdoor learning, and it will also serve as a beautiful place to bring the community together.
     My project will take place on the 28th of October, but because of the time it takes to order some of the supplies, I am hoping to reach my goal by mid to late September. Any and all donations will mean so much to me, and to the adults and children who will be using this area for the years to come.
