Heroes, Heathens & Wild Things!

Hey!

I'm Andrea and I've crazily just been amongst the first few to sign up to climb Ben Nevis in June 2024.

This is a huge step and challenge for me, a personal goal to build on my recovery, considering this time last year I was in so much pain I could barely walk some days and even had days I need help getting out of bed. It'll be a massive challenge to complete this, and I'll be putting in a lot of hard work between now and then, but will have the absolute best bunch of people I could ever hope to complete this challenge with!

It's not about me though! We're fundraising for 3 great purposes;

Firstly: Help for Heroes - being ex-Navy, supporting those serving and those who have served and their families is high in my list!

Next up: The Nerthus Initiative - A grand plan for AUK to own land for the community to gather and worship on and eventually to build the first official heathen temple to the old Norse gods to have existed in many years. Close to my heart as my heathen family are super special to me and my safe place.
