Veteran Grandfather Stroke Victim

My grandpa, Darrell suffered a major stroke 4 weeks ago. He is a US Navy veteran with 6 years of active duty service and 8 years Navy Reserves under his belt. He also worked tirelessly for the US Postal Service for 20 years. He never took time off for illnesses. He diligently provided for my grandma and their 6 children through out his life. My grandma has been met with obstacle after obstacle regarding his continuous care. She found out that their secondary insurance does not cover any sort of nursing home care. Medicare only covers 80%, leaving a balance of $4000 a month to be paid out of pocket. My grandparents are unable to cover this amount as they have only their social security and a very small pension. It will take approximately 6 months to get him into a VA facility so we need roughly $24-$25K to cover his nursing home expenses until that time. Any contribution is greatly appreciated as his condition does not allow us to care for him at home.    My grandmother does not know that I am starting this account because she is too proud to ask for assistance. They have done so much for me. They cared for me when I was a child and my single mother couldn't afford childcare. They took me in when I was homeless. After all these years experiencing and witnessing their generosity with me and all of our family, it breaks my heart to see them in this situation. My love for them overrides my pride, so I will beg you. PLEASE... Please help my grandparents in their time of need.
