(Private) Vet Care for 3 abused dogs

Tax deductible

UPDATE on the 3 abused dogs!

UPDATE!  Rufus found a WONDERFUL home in Chicago!  A lady and her son drove 1300 miles to collect him last week and I am thrilled!  Rufus had been doing so much better since I rescued a puppy who taught me how safe things are, and eventually Rufus came inside the house and calmed down a little.  I spent $595.70 on Rufus alone and even though the adoption fee was only $200, it was a priceless moment when I met the lady who was going to love him for ever and ever!  I am ever so grateful to Felicia Lakey who rescued him and brought him to me, Dr. Kemble with Patient Paws for coming to the house and giving Rufus his shots and weighing him, Dr. Williams of Compassionate Care for neutering him and fixing his eye with entropy surgery, and to Julianne Marchbanks of God's Dogs Rescue for putting such an ADORABLE write up on her page about Roo Roo!

Hello everyone and thank you for tuning in!  Of the three dogs that arrived at my house on the same day, Tiki, the small Chi mix was vetted by Golden Horn's K9 Rescue and sent to Canada with Texas Chihuahua Rescue where she was adopted immediately!

Sadly, Mr. Potato Head, the American bulldog after being treated for his ear infection, was neutered and then treated for heartworm after a month on Doxycycline fell ill and crossed over at Perrin-410 Animal Hospital 2 Sundays ago.  There were too many dead heart worms floating off his heart after the treatment and they made their way into his lungs, he developed an embolism, coughed up blood and passed away.  I hadn't even made it back to the vet's yet.  The bill was $2,150.00 and we still lost him.  I remain so furious by the thought of his miserable life and death that I had to take time off work, so crestfallen was I.

Rufus, the 3rd dog who is a Husky was treated at Compassionate Care Vet Services for his entropy and neuter surgery on 3/28/19.  He has to wear an Elizabeth Collar for a 2 weeks as he has stitches on his upper and lower eyelid.  I also had a trainer come out to assess his temperament as he has been on a chain in the country for the whole first year of his life.  I also had Patient Paws Mobile Vet come out and give him shots, heartworm test and medication for anxiety, as well as flea and heartworm preventative.

Since Mr. Potato Head is no longer in my garage, I had room for one more, so I took in Lucky, a mangy mama pit bull with the worst skin infection I have ever seen.  She is in heat.  When she is better, I will have her spayed.

Needless to say, I still need help with this fundraiser, perhaps even more so!  I must pay Potato's bill, spay Lucky and get more training for Rufus, so he can be adopted.  He is currently TOO RAMBUNCTIOUS!
Thank you all from the bottom of my broken heart so very very very very much for sharing, for your support of this work and for loving puppers like I do!

This is Kaz.  In 24 hours, I received into my care three new dogs.  One of them was being hit and kicked in a back yard for YEARS! There was another little dog in that yard too.  Another has been on a metal chain for his entire lifetime of one year.  He has never known a car, a leash, an indoor floor.

None of these 3 dogs have been spayed/neutered and of the two who have been to the vet, one is HW positive, and blind, with a tooth infection, ear infection, granuloma scars and low body weight.  Their names are Mr. Potato Head, Tiki and Rufus.

Because I fear the original guardian/s (the beater) could have these beautiful animals returned to them by ACS if I post the photos publicly, I am keeping this fundraiser very much on the down low.

The animals are/will be treated for the most part at Callaghan Road Animal Hospital (where I have a current bill of $1,139.63) and also at Pet Shotz.  Without the help of Felicia, Tina, Mary Lou, Frances and the very wonderful Jennifer, these animals would still be living in San Antonio MISERY!

Thanks to help from YOU and Golden Horn's K9 Rescue (non-profit), these gorgeous fur-balls will be vetted, socialized and re-homed asap.  For now, they are in foster care, with me and my 4 dogs.

No amount is too small, even $5.00 helps a bunch!  Please be cautious when sharing this fundraiser, if it goes public, I will have to take it down, thank you!  Please only share by messenger and E mail.  THANK YOU!
