<div>At Lighthouse Animal Shelter, we rescue adult &amp; senior dogs from euthanasia lists in southern states that would otherwise have no chance. 95% of the dogs in our care were at some point on a death row list.

<div>These girls needed senior wellness panels, follow-up bloodwork, growth removal, radiographs, antibiotics for tickborne illnesses, eye meds, 2/3 dogs needed heartworm treatment, and we're looking at an upcoming very expensive dental procedure for Miss Kota.
</div>

<div>Our adoption fees rarely cover the cost of care that we provide for a young/adult dog. For a senior dog, their fee NEVER covers the cost of the care that we provide them with. For Emma alone, Lighthouse spent $1,009.66 on her medical. Our adoption fee for senior dogs is $250.

<div>We are an all-volunteer, 501 (c) 3 organization whose leadership brings decades of combined experience in animal welfare and rescue. Lighthouse Animal Shelter focuses its efforts on helping homeless animals. All animals in our care receive full vetting: spay/neuter, vaccines, testing &amp; parasite control. We also offer information and referral services to assist the community with concerns relating to their own or stray companion animals.
