Vet Bills for Baby Camels

Hello!

Rose Bridge Farm is a special place located in Dresher, PA. We rescue farm animals and give them a second chance at life. We have two camels, Chocky and Brownie.

Chocky and Brownie recently gave birth to two beautiful baby camels. But it was not an easy birth for Chocky. We are so lucky her baby Godiva is alive. Godiva means Gift From God, and she certainly is!! Her mom did not have strong contractions and could not push her out to be born. Our amazing local vet friend, Christine Tranchida came to the farm to assist. By that time, it was 3 hours after Chocky's water broke. After consulting with some international camel vets, it was clear she had to be located inside her mother's womb, adjusted, and pulled out. Dr. Christine Tranchida located her and pulled her out with some help. Her mother was not producing enough colostrum or milk, so she was rushed to New Bolton for a plasma transfusion.

We were also blessed with another baby camel, who was born 3 weeks too early. and when his mom was not providing enough milk, he had to go to New Bolton as well.

The farm has spent over $15,000 keeping these camel babies alive and healthy by providing the best care through emergency vet care, emergency transport, professional camel trainer (to try to get the moms to produce more milk, and to help the babies learn to nurse better), supplements and medication.

All donations will go directly to paying these huge and unexpected medical bills.

For any donation over $200, you will have the opportunity to experience private cuddle time with one of the baby camels under close supervision. You can snuggle and give love to our baby camels! They love people! We will contact you to schedule this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You will get to spend 30 minutes with a baby camel with up to 4 people.
