Vet And Hospital Debt

Donation protected

Before you  start reading what is going on in  Jenn (Viking) and I's life i want to  say a few things. The information below is not exaggerated in any way shape or form, this is not about pity or guilt  and both of us hate asking for money  more than anything  else we are required to do in our lives. We simply are putting  this out there in  case people have a few extra dollars and want to help us  out.

As some  of you may know back on Super Bow Sunday i was at a party  and received a distress call from  Jenn. Our two dogs Bert and Jazzy were fighting, she had been bit trying to break it up and she didn't know what to do. I was about 30 minutes away, got in my car and started driving home. I called the cops because i didn't know how hurt she was and i wanted to make sure she was ok. By the time i had gotten home the dogs were separated and Jenn  was being treated by EMTs. Due to the adrenaline and injuries she sustained she had briefly passed out. This required an ambulance ride and an ER visit. due to the injuries of the dogs they needed immediate attention as well. So while the ambulance brought Jenn to the hospital i rushed the dogs to a 24 hour vet, dropped them off and rushed to the hospital where Jenn was.  She has recovered from these injuries and so  have the dogs.

Since this issue, we have issued routines for the dogs, implemented precautions to try  and make sure the dogs stay safe and so  we can protect ourselves. The hospital bills for Jenn have now totaled an estimated $3500, and the Vet bills from this fight were $3000.

While this next bit is more of just something that happens  to homeowners it didn't make life any easier. our basement has been flooding for a while and we weren't able to figure out what it was. We had masons come out to take a look because we believed it was our  chimney. They confirmed that it was and said it needed a rebuild. We had  to make a choice between fixing the chimney or dealing with constant floods in our basement. We chose to fix the chimney, this was another $3500.

During  all of this time we have been trying to save money to afford an behavioral therapist for our dogs so we can try to work further  with them than we already have to  try and figure  out what is going on. Due to all the expenses we haven't been able to catch up.

Fast forward to  today 4/7, i'm writing this as i just returned home from the vet dropping the dogs off once again after another fight. this time i also wasn't home, and Jenn had to break it up again.  Thankfully she wasn't hurt at all this time but the dogs were hurt worse than last time. We dropped them off at the vet for overnight care but don't know the extent of the injuries, all we know is the estimate to care for them is $3400.

We are now  in the process of weighing are  options on future care for the dogs and are really not in a good place about it. I respectfully ask that you don't judge the breed of our dogs or how we care for them.

If after reading this you feel like you would like to help it means more to both of us than you know, and literally anything you can  spare is helpful. If you cant afford to donate to this cause, I ask that you find it in your heart to at least share the gofundme so that maybe others will.

I appreciate your time reading this, and hope that none of you every have to deal with anything even close to this.

Sincerely,

Christian (Valhooli) & Jenn (Vikiiiiiiiing)
