Vestal family hardship and fire fund

Donation protected
Just like everyone else this year took on a whole new outlook on life for the Vestel's. As if the pandemic was not enough this family endured one hardship after another.

On August 28th Marie was at work, and just doing like the rest of the world, trying to stay positive about the things going on around us all. When she suddenly felt very ill, immediately she knew something was very wrong. She messaged a close friend at work asking them to take her to the emergency room.  Where she was then flown to Denver hospitals.

Upon arrival Marie had test done and the outcome was one no one was expecting. Marie is young, healthy and how could one minuet you be fine working and the next you have an ischemic stroke? Although this was her reality. She was told there was a higher risk of another stroke and had to be put on watch. Causing her to take a leave of absence from work. This should be the end of the story right? But sadly no.

On September 30th multiple reports were called into the fire station. Smoke, billowing black smoke was coming from the Vestel's house. Marie was out to lunch with a friend, Tucker at work and their daughter in school. Thankfully no one was in the home... except the dogs.

Marie received a call from her neighbor rushing home, arriving before the fire department.  Parking down the street and running to her blazing home she fell in her panic. Reaching the house she told first responders her dogs were still inside.

They proceeded to break the glass and the dogs bolted. Marie was able to catch Nova but Diesel was too frightened and ran up the street and just kept going.

Friends and family gathered to look for the missing dog as well as offer help and condolences.

The fire was put out but the garage and part of the living room wall was gone. Smoke damage was apparent throughout most of the house. The paramedics informed Marie that the stress of everything put her at a high risk of another stroke.

As darkness fell Marie and her daughter went to a friend's. Tucker slept in their driveway hoping his bestfriend would come home and refusing to leave their vulnerable home.

At 3:00am another fire began blazing...

This time it consumed the living room and began traveling up the stairs before it was once again extinguished.

So today on October 1st, we ask our friends, family and community to come together to help this family. If anything else this year of 2020 will teach us to come together. To be there when others are in need and the Vestel's are very much in need of our help right now.
