My wife Sharon and I love visiting St. Martin and the highlight of the trip is always a stop at Vesna Taverna, a small, local restaurant in Simpson Bay. The food is great and the hospitality provided by the owners Vesna, Yannick and their employees is amazing. It's sad to know that everyone who works there is going to be struggling while the island rebuilds.
The building next to Vesna Taverna was destroyed but somehow Vesna Taverna remained standing. Vesna and Yannick want to reopen but there is a lot of water damage that needs repair. They also want to help their employees as best they can while the island gets rebuilt.
If you ever enjoyed a meal at Vesna's or if you want to help some good people who were hurt by this horrible disaster please make a donation. It will be used to help repair the damages and the rest will be distributed to employees to help them get through the difficult weeks and months ahead. This is a great opportunity to personally help people we know and love - please donate today!
GoFundMe Campaign Details: My wife and I know Vesna and Yannick because we've been eating at their restaurant for years. I approached Vesna and asked her if it was OK to start this GoFundMe campaign and she said that anything that helps her employees would be great. GoFundMe requires that withdrawls must be made by someone with a US social security number and a US bank account so I will be making withdrawls at Vesna's request and I'll mail her a check or use electronic bank transfer to get your donation to her. Absolutely no money goes to me, it all goes to Vesna and Yannick. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
