Veronica L Perez

Veronica Lee Perez was born on November 28th, 1976, in Escondido, California. Her parents were Alfonso and Maria Perez, and she was the youngest of four siblings: Frederick Perez, Regina Prentice and Daniel Perez. Veronica has three sons: Cesar Castro Jr., Isaac Soto, and Andrew Salinas. Alfonso, Veronica and Daniel moved to Lamont, California, in 1984. Growing up,  Veronica had a passion for running and was a cross country runner at Mountain View Middle School and Arvin High School. Veronica was fiercely independent and had a few, but loyal friends throughout her life.

In November of 2016, Veronica was diagnosed with ALS. Veronica battled hard against this unrelenting disease, and even though it took away her ability to move, it did not take away her fighting spirit. Her long-time boyfriend, Tony Hall, loved and cared for her during her battle with ALS, and helped her maintain her independence to the end.

On April 2nd, 2018, Veronica was surrounded by friends and family when she peacefully left this life. We will cherish our memories with her, and love her always.

Donations will go towards funeral expenses, and the remainder will support her children while they get back on their feet.
