The Vermillion Family

Shirley and Peter Vermillion and their four children are facing several of life's most difficult challenges this holiday season.  Peter was diagnosed several years ago with colon cancer.  Sadly, his condition is worsening and the family is doing everything they can to comfort him as he nears the end of his battle with cancer.

Shirley's father also recently passed away.  She and her Mom face the challenge of a new norm without him.  The eternal optimist, Shirley recent wrote that,  "Life is sweet and full of love and peace and hope from all sides, even in some of the darkest chapters..."

The delicate balance of her career, family life, and community activities would tire a professional athlete.  One would never know of her personal challenges because of her persistent positive demeanor and engaging smile. 

As a Dental Hygientist by day and live music promoter by night, Shirley has become an icon in the community.  She has worked tirelessly for over eight years on the highly successful 2nd Sunday events in Williamsburg. 

She is a friend to everyone and passionate about her community.  Just ask any one of her 3,000 Facebook friends. 

In her 'spare' time, she is also a Director of CultureFix and works tirelessly to create and deliver music, art and festivals the entire community supports and enjoys.
