Hello, my name is Cody Weinberg.
I recently received the terrible news that my mother Barbara has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer. She has masses in multiple spots in her stomach, ovaries, pelvic area, and a small spot between her lungs. She is a wonderful woman, mother, and an amazing grandmother to my two children, Dylan who is 4 years old and Brenna who is almost 2.
My mom is the last person that we ever expected to get cancer as she has never smoked, drank alcohol, or used drugs . She has always eaten healthily and tried to take good care of herself. She has a great attitude and stays positive and grateful even though she doesn't have much. She and her husband Max are both living off social security and Max is not in good health either, battling diabetes. Medicare covers some, but not all of the treatment and recovery.
My mother has struggled financially for most of her life, yet has never asked anybody for anything. Under these circumstances, we are kindly asking for a donation of any size to help Barbara recover so she can get back to being Grandma Barbara. We are trying to reach our goal as soon as possible so that she can begin treatment. Donations will be used to offset costs for treatment and care.
