Supporting Venezuelan Christians

Donation protected
Brothers and Sisters, I am writing you in regards to a recent lesson I have heard at my home congregation, the Southside Church of Christ in Somerset, Kentucky. We received a visit from one of the preachers we support in Venezuela, Brother Gustavo Moreno in the city of Valencia. Like many of you in this message, I was moved at this man's great zeal and work he is doing to spread the Gospel in a country without almost any of the luxuries we enjoy today. I was especially touched by a story of one of the congregations that this brother's work essentially set up in a small town. These new Christians are meeting and worshiping together as commanded, but, because of financial and economic issues, they do not even have a meeting house. They are instead meeting outside underneath some trees. They are currently working on building a place to meet, "brick by brick" as it was described to us. They are very limited financially and this could prove to be a very long process. I have spoken with Brother Calvin Schlabach, from Indiana who does missionary work down there in regards to donating to this particular congregation. He has confirmed that if I gather the donations from individual Christians that he can get the money to them. I will be donating and I simply ask that you consider doing the same. Please, remember our fellow Christians who are worshipping in far less comfortable situations, something we all probably take for granted. If you have any questions on this please contact me or Brother Schlabach who is very active on Facebook. I will be sure to disclose any financial records and make any transactions transparent upon request. Thank you very much for your considerations and thank you in advance for those of you choosing to donate. God Bless, Johnny.... Part 2,
Last time some of the funds got diverted to other congregations who needed it more desperatley,  but a good chunk of the money still went to this building, now, Brother Jose' Gregorio Diaz  estimates that with another  $2,000 dollars they could perhaps finish with men at the congregation doing some of the work themselves.  It is my intention that ALL of the funds make it straight to the building this time unless something extreme comes up in that part of the world. The funds will be tracked and I will do my best to confirm where the money goes to and hopefully, our Brothers and Sisters will be assebmling to worship inside! Romans 12:10.
