Hello Everyone!
My name is Patricia Coronado, 40 - married and have 2 wonderful kids. I am originally from Venezuela. I have been living in Silver Spring, Maryland USA for the last 17 years.
It took one sentence to light my spirit up …”There’s misery Patricia”.
Venezuela is going through the worst humanitarian crisis in history. The levels of poverty is outrageous due to the high inflation. There is lack of medicines, food, basic supplies, clothes, shoes; and the list can go on and on.
Thanks to active leaders, brave young professionals, adults and even seniors that have been in the streets protesting peacefully to fight for peace, justice and liberty; nowadays the world is more aware about what is going on in Venezuela.
I was able to coordinate a clothing drive to help our people in Venezuela. With the help of our generous community here in the Washington Metropolitan Area; we were able to fill 30 boxes, size 18*18*24, from 50 to 70 punds each one. Increible! It really amazes me how we can bring our communities together regardless of the nationality. The estimated cost to ship each box to Caracas is $100. The shipping will be from Maryland to Miami via UPS, Miami to Caracas via courier. A trusted-very good friend who lives in Caracas will receive and deliver the items to those in urgent need.
To make this drive "Venezuela needs 30 boxes of LOVE" a reality, we will need your financial support to cover the shipping cost. No matter how much you can give ; it all counts. They are "screaming" for help.
I personally will withdraw the funds and distribute them accordingly. I will keep you posted on every step so you know how the money will be spent.
