<div><strong>Rebuild Venezuela's Schools</strong>

<div>On June 24th, two earthquakes, with a 7.2 magnitude, followed just a minute later by a 7.5, tore through Venezuela, leveling entire neighborhoods in Caracas and La Guaira in seconds. Over 1,700 people have lost their lives, and thousands more are still searching for missing loved ones.

<div>One part of this tragedy hits me especially hard: 432 schools, more than a third of all schools in the Capital District, have been damaged.
</div>
<div>It's hard to imagine losing not just your home, but the one other place that feels like home.
</div>

<div>Being a student myself, school is where I've made my closest friends, learned who I want to become, and found things I'm actually passionate about, which mostly is helping people. Knowing that thousands of kids in Venezuela don't have that right now, it doesn't sit right with me to just sit and watch.

<div>We can't fly to Venezuela. We can't rebuild a school with our own hands. But we can do something, and that something is you.

<div><strong>Which organization will this be going to?</strong>
</div>
<div>We're raising money for UNICEF USA, who is already on the ground in Venezuela, helping children affected by this disaster.
</div>

<div><strong>How will this money be used?</strong>
</div>
<div>Donations go into UNICEF's emergency response fund for Venezuela, which is currently being used to:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Deliver emergency education supplies so kids can keep learning even while schools are being repaired
</li>
<li>Set up safe, temporary learning spaces for children who can't return to damaged school buildings
</li>
<li>Provide psychological support for children coping with trauma from the disaster
</li>
<li>Supply clean water and health resources to affected families
</li>
<li>Support child protection services for kids who've been displaced or separated from family
</li>

<div><strong>Where does the money go?</strong>
</div>
<div>100% of donations go directly to UNICEF's official Venezuela earthquake response. I'm not holding or distributing funds myself. UNICEF's response includes education support alongside health, clean water, and child protection for the millions of children affected.

<div>Hay un aspecto de esta tragedia que me afecta especialmente: 432 escuelas, más de un tercio de todos los centros educativos del Distrito Capital, han sufrido daños.

<div>Es difícil imaginar perder no solo tu hogar, sino también ese otro lugar que se siente como casa.
</div>

<div>Como estudiante, la escuela es el lugar donde he hecho mis mejores amigos, donde he descubierto quién quiero ser y donde he encontrado aquello que realmente me apasiona: ayudar a los demás. Saber que miles de niños en Venezuela carecen de esto ahora mismo hace que no pueda quedarme de brazos cruzados.

<div>Estamos recaudando fondos para UNICEF USA, organización que ya está trabajando sobre el terreno en Venezuela para ayudar a los niños afectados por este desastre.

<div>Las donaciones se destinan al fondo de respuesta de emergencia de UNICEF para Venezuela, que actualmente se utiliza para:

<li>Distribuir material educativo de emergencia para que los niños puedan seguir aprendiendo mientras se reparan las escuelas.
</li>
<li>Habilitar espacios de aprendizaje seguros y temporales para los niños que no pueden regresar a los edificios escolares dañados.
</li>
<li>Brindar apoyo psicológico a los niños que enfrentan el trauma provocado por el desastre.
</li>
<li>Suministrar agua potable y recursos sanitarios a las familias afectadas.
</li>
<li>Apoyar los servicios de protección infantil para los niños desplazados o separados de sus familias.

<div>El 100 % de las donaciones se destina directamente a la respuesta oficial de UNICEF ante el terremoto en Venezuela. Yo no gestiono ni distribuyo los fondos personalmente. La respuesta de UNICEF incluye apoyo educativo, además de servicios de salud, agua potable y protección infantil para los millones de niños afectados.
