Ethiopia with Children's Hope Chest

What an incredible journey I have been on in the last two and a half years. Over the course of this time I have traveled to Malawi three times to help COTN redo roofs for 20 beautiful families and built some strong relationships. Secondly, sponsored three children from Malawi named, Ben, Phishani, and Etoo (my mini me's)! Also, stepped out on faith and traveled to Cambodia to help the battle against child sex trafficking. And finally, had the pleasure of working with a nonprofit out of middle Georgia, called Mustard Seed Ministries, redoing roofs for the impoverished for 6 months. Over these last two and a half years every move I have made has been prayed about and my relationship with God has never been stronger. I have never felt more alive in my entire life. The more mission trips I take the more I learn about different cultures and what it really means to help. I have found my passion and my calling. I just want you to know how much it means to me to have you in my life (yes you), always there for me, always supportive, always praying, and never giving up on me. None of who I have become, what I have accomplished, or most importantly my relationship with God would have been possible without you.
On July 3rd, I will be heading to Ethiopia with Summit church to help take care of orphans with an organization called Children's Hope Chest. Children's Hope Chest is working with orphanages throughout Ethiopia, but mainly in the capital, Addis Ababa. There are approximately 5 million orphans in Ethiopia and 800,000 of those orphans is due to HIV/aids. Our church has picked a specific care point in Addis Ababa to partner with due to the lack of financial resources and prior non existent partnerships. While in Ethiopia, our team of 12 from Summit church will be providing a much needed break for the currently over worked staff. We will be teaching the gospel and spending quality time by playing games, skits, and crafts between 5-7 hrs a day. Also, we will be going from house to house talking with the locals, figuring out their needs, sharing the good news, and most of all being there to listen and pray with them.
As a team we have begun meeting and planning for our trip. I'm eagerly waiting to see what God has in store for our team and my church's new partnership. The total trip cost is $3000. In order to make this trip happen I will need as much support as possible from you. Even if that means just prayers for our team, please know that I will so greatly appreciate it.
