Help Kaya Run Again ❤️

Hello, my name is Steven, and I’m here asking for help for our sweet girl, Kaya. She is our first family dog — a beautiful, playful Border Collie who has filled our lives with so much joy. My wife, our two daughters, and I spend countless hours playing fetch, frisbee, and chasing her around the yard with her favorite herding ball. She’s not just a pet… she’s family.

A couple of weeks ago, Kaya tore her cranial cruciate ligament (CCL). This injury has completely changed her world. Instead of running free, she’s confined to a small space and on sedatives to keep her from moving too much. We had hoped rest would help her heal, but at her recent check-up we learned she needs surgery — and soon — to prevent further damage.

The cost for her surgery is between $5,600 and $6,000, and it must be paid upfront. We’ve tried every option, including applying for loans, but have been unsuccessful. We’re doing everything we can to raise money ourselves, but it’s simply impossible to save that much in time without risking her health.

We’re turning to GoFundMe with hopeful hearts, asking for help so Kaya can get the surgery she needs and return to the happy, energetic life she loves. Any amount — no matter how small — will bring us closer to giving Kaya her life back.
