My Dad's funeral

Donation protected
Hi everyone, My name is Annamaria Leon. Yesterday June 17th, 2017 around 8 am, at the age of 60, my dad Pedro Leon passed away due to a heart attack. It still feels like a horrible nightmare.

He was a strong man, anyone can attest to that. He used to run laps around Lake Atlanta without stopping. But in 2013, he had 2 strokes and suffered from brain damage and we thought his whole right side of his body was going to remain paralyzed. Glory to God, he was able to walk but was extremely weak on that side of his body. His mind wasn't the same either, he started off almost like a kid again but over time we helped him get back to normal. It was a miracle how he survived but he was a fighter. Then this past week he had been complaining more about pains and how he just didn't feel right (and he never was one to admit to pain) so we took him to the clinic and knowing his medical history all they said was the problem had something to do with his esophagus and acid reflux. They sent him home with medicine but it didn't help. He knew something wasn't right. He ended up calling his relatives and telling people how much he loved them and he told my mom that if he dies, he didn't want the worms to eat him and that he wanted to be cremated. A couple days later, the heart attack occurred that took his life.

My dad was an amazing man, father, and husband. He left an imprint on all of our lives. He looked young for a 60 yr old and always tried to be the healthiest he could by researching and watching youtube videos on fitness and nutrition. Words can't begin to describe the incredible man my father was. I've always looked up to him. He worked hard for his family and always wanted the absolute best for us. I miss his 3 hr long life lectures, his advice, and his constructive criticism. He had a heart of gold. I could talk for hours about my dad even though it still makes my heart hurt. Most of the pictures I have posted are with my mom, because they were best friends. They have been married for 27 years and spent all their time together. I can't understand what she must be going through as well. My father loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and other people in his life. He wasn't great at showing it at times but he always talked about the people he loved with my mom.

So I made this gofundme in order to ask for your guys' help in paying for my dad's funeral. He wasn't able to work so left no money behind except debt from medical bills, my mother has been holding up the household for the past 4 years and we are all trying to come up with any money we have but it's not enough. We want to honor our Dad the best way possible. We are wanting to do other things in order to raise money, but I wanted to make a campaign on here as well.  honestly anything at all helps so much.

And to my superhero of a dad, you didn't make it to father day to eat sopes with us like always...but Happy father's day. You were the best dad we could ask for and I'm glad you're in a better place where you can run, jump, and dance all you want. We love you endlessly.
