I have been struggling to find work the last few months, and I was starting to catch up on my back rent when I was laid off from my job right before the holidays. My landlords are threatening to evict me or telling me to move out at the end of the month if I want to avoid the eviction process. Anything and everything helps a ton. I am currently still searching for work. I have put out requests for organizations that help with back rent owed and haven't gotten any responses. Any amount I can raise will help with either staying in my home or help with relocation costs should I need to leave. I want to stay connected with the community as I have made so many friends in the last year and would hate to be without a home as I don't have the funds to get a new apartment and would be homeless after leaving this place.
