Greetings. I am writing on behalf of a group of friends to help a friend in need. We are attempting to raise funds to help a very, very good man and lifelong freind who is hospitalized and struggling to survive a serious motorcycle accident. Stan was removed from a ventilator yesterday and will survive. His injuries include, but are not limited to, the loss of a leg, and additional critical injuries and related complications .
Stan was about to close on his deceased parents' very modest house in Florida to where he recently moved to help care for an elder, infirm sister.
We are hoping to raise funds for either medical expenses, rehabilitation and after care or for whatever expenses are needed to ensure that Stan will still be able to purchase that house that he had been working on.
Any contributions from anyone who reads this will be most grateful. Stan is loved by us all and we want to see that he has some resources available for him to face and better manage what will be an undeniably difficult future.
Stan is 67 years of age, has no pension or real means of any kind. Stan has spent his life unselfishly giving his time and skills and friendship to anyone he would meet. He would help anyone and everyone in any way that he could, so much so that he was detrimental to his own well being. He was always our George Bailey.
Now, we want to help Stan.
