Support Disabled & Homeless Vets

Tax deductible
The Non-Profit Organization, VA Vigilante, Inc. was founded in 2015 to raise money for homeless and disabled veterans in North Carolina. The founder of VA Vigilante, Inc. is Navy Veteran, David Russotto. David is also a Veteran’s Disability Benefits Attorney, helping veterans seek compensation for disabilities connected to their service. He sees first-hand the devastation and turmoil these veterans go through. As Americans we owe it to our military veterans to help. Veterans risk their lives for us; a donation small or large is the least we can do.

It’s unfortunate that these heroic men and women return home with scars visible and invisible and the VA doesn’t have enough resources to accommodate. Disabled veterans can apply for disability benefits but the VA is so backlogged that they may wait for a decision on their claim for up to 10 years. What is a disabled veteran supposed to do while waiting? They’re unable to work and get the assistance they need and deserve. Tragic times such as these lead to homelessness. Thousands of our military veterans in North Carolina are living on the streets with nowhere to go. Statistics  show that the VA only has resources to serve 1 in every 10 homeless and at-risk veterans. This is why Non-Profit Organizations such as VA Vigilante, Inc. are so important.

The veterans in our community need to know that we have their back, just as they had ours. By donating to our GoFundMe page you will be assisting local agencies that support homeless and disabled veterans.
Donations go to things such as:

·        Bus Tokens for Vets to get to and from appointments, or other veteran services

·        Hotel vouchers for homeless Vets that the shelter is unable to accommodate due to no bed vacancy

·        Bus vouchers for out of town medical services for Vets

·        Utility/ Rental assistance to Vets getting transitioning to better/ permanent housing

·        Assistance in construction, renovation or purchase of new facility

·        Relief for disabled veterans in need

This year we will hold the 2nd Annual VA Vigilante PaddleFit Challenge which is a Fundraiser for VA Vigilante, Inc. All proceeds made from the event go directly to homeless and disabled veterans in North Carolina. The event is being held on Saturday, May 21st which is also Armed Forces Day! In addition to the sponsorships and registration fees for the event we would also ask you for a donation so we are able to assist these deserving veterans.
