Vaughan's Prosthetic and Assoc Costs

HELP ME GET MY FIRST PROSTHESIS!!!!
Hi, I am Vaughan Krasovitzky (Formally Lauralee Vaughan Strickland) and I recently had my left leg amputated below the knee. When I was 9 years old I was attacked by a Pit Bull dog and probably should have had it amputated then. That was not the case back in the early 80's and people certainly didn't sue people. I struggled most of my life with my left leg as it was 6" shorter than my right as well as half it's size. I knew that I was going to eventually have to have it amputated as it was constantly hurting and causing me to lack a good quality of life. I was not prepared for my doctor to announce after a vascular ultrasound on May 1 that we needed to do it immediately. If he had his way we would have done it on May 3rd. I did have my amputation on May 10th. Between the doctors visit's and the actual hospital stay, I have depleted all of my savings as well as used up all my health savings plan. A friend told me about this site and I am hoping to raise the money for my first prosthesis as well as the costs associated with it (physical therapy, medications, etc.) Thank you in advance for hearing my story and helping.
