For Vanessa's Children & Family

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for visiting the Vanessa Rivera-Ray Memorial Fund Page.

As most of you may know Vanessa, mother of 2, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2011. A mastectomy was performed which removed all the cancer and was worry free while in remission. All her worries would soon come back when she later found out she had lung cancer. She sought treatment in Florida where she could be closer to family during her chemotherapy. While in treatment she began to experience headaches that would not cease. Vanessa was yet in for another disappointment when she was later diagnosed with Brain Cancer. This was definitely a living nightmare for her. She remained strong in fighting her breast cancer and had high hopes for recovery in the days to follow. Learning of her illnesses set her back into battling this disease once again.
Vanessa never gave up and always believed in having faith that God was on her side and he would see her through this battle as he did before.

In September 2013 she learned that her condition was grave and was diagnosed as terminal. Vanessa was in no way ready to accept the challenges that she would soon come face to face within time. From that day forward she vowed to be strong, diligent in painful moments and pushing herself to rise again for the days to come. Her family and children were her main focus in her fight to LIVE!
We are grateful that God gave her family more time to become closer and loving through this past holiday season.

On the morning of Tuesday, January 28 2014, God sought out his best angels to escort Vanessa home in at the age of 32 years young. She will no longer suffer from the pain that this horrible illness caused to her life. Family and friends will no longer live in sorrow seeing her suffer because she is now resting in peace.

Since Vanessa's move to Florida her Mom, Jeanie King, has not only been her moral but financial support as Vanessa had been awaiting disability benefits. Unfortunately her disability funding was not approved in time prior to her departure. At this time, her close friends and family are asking for any donations you can give to assist this heart-broken family.
We ask you to open your hearts and help Vanessa's family and children, Shanice and CJ, who are only left with great memories of their Mom. We all love Vanessa, and we want to give her the best send-off we can.

Thank you on behalf of the family. We appreciate each and every single one of you and God Bless.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:19

Vanessa always smiling.
