Vanessa is one of those special people you meet, who has a heart of gold and is always caring and looking out for others. She has been a fundamental strength and a pillar of support for me, and many others like myself. She has helped clean the most dreadful of houses to help mothers, cleaned up for decades after children with maternal love whilst mothers work tirelessly. She has given comfort to so many who need a shoulder to cry on, and never once made a complaint about her own ill health. Vanessa, is like family to anyone that has her in their life. She is never with a complaint, or stress, she continues to give to others. She helps her family, friends and friends of friends effortlessly. She is the glue to a community. She brings people together. And now she needs our urgent help. After a lifetime of caring for others, now she needs our support. Being not one to ask for help we have, as family and friends, generated this fund.
Vanessa’s back ground….
Vanessa has suffered severe migraines her whole life and they have been getting extremely worse to the stage where she is bed ridden for days at a time before the next one comes a few days after that one. It takes a lot for her to be out of action. We know for her to be bed ridden its bad. Because they have gotten so bad, Her GP referred her to see a neurologist to find out what is happening in her brain. The findings were not good, they confirmed that she has damage to the right side of her brain due to a severe stroke, a near miss, which brought the attention to her heart. After a variety of more test the neurologist then referred her onto a private heart surgeon. Vanessa, ironically has a large hole in her heart which with every heart beat it is causing the bubbling on the brain and toxins and debris throughout the body and due to this she is told she is at high risk of having another stroke or worse.
Because she is over 65 years she won’t get through the public system quick enough to have it operated on. She has not got the money to operate privately, the quotes exceed $25,000-$30,000. The specialists know this is dire, as without a simple operation she will have another stroke, or even worse.
