Vandermeer's Wrestle w/Cancer

Donation protected
On January 27, 2019 our loving and devoted daddy went home to be with Jesus.
We are rejoicing he is in heaven, loved and free, no longer suffering here on earth.
We know that we will see him again, because we trust in the Lord Jesus as our personal savior.
We trust God's plan even if we can't understand it.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  Proverbs 3:5

Dad was hospitalized for 14 days prior to his passing.
My mom, Carol his faithful wife of 43 years, a radiant beacon of hope, never left his side during his fight.
As a family, we showered him with love and affection during this battle.

We are eternally grateful for your kindness, generosity, prayers and memories of what a great man Pete Vandermeer was.  His memory will live on in our hearts and minds.  He leaves an amazing legacy in his wife, children and grandchildren and all the people and young athletes he impacted in his lifetime.

Donations will be used for the financial recovery of his battle and the celebration of his life and legacy.

Thank you so much.

As some of you may know, Pete Vandermeer of Clarkston Mi was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the spring of 2018.  He battled through 6 weeks of radiation and chemo during the summer. His esophageal cancer responded to treatment, however as Dr's were preparing for surgery in September, they discovered brain cancer.   Thus making surgery no longer a viable option.   Chemo is not an option for brain cancer and therefore we need to pursue alternative therapies.

As you can imagine this is a very difficult situation for Pete and our family in addition to a tremendous financial stress.
Any donation received will be applied towards Pete’s family needs, his medical needs including chemotherapy, radiation, medical supplies and naturopathic treatment procedures.
We are grateful for your thoughts, prayers, and donations.
Pete is also a veteran, please share any veteran support or alternative support programs you are aware of.

We are trusting God through this process and know HE has a master plan.

With Deepest Gratitude,
Our Family
