Like many stories ours has a romantic but becoming all too typical start. We met back in 2011 and it was love at first sight. Neither of us was looking for each other but God had another plan for us.
All along we knew that kids were a priority to us both and we started trying for a baby in 2015. After three years of hoping chance would make it happen we started to take matters into our own hands. We tracked fertility with devices and apps for a year. Then we saw a specialist and tried their suggestions and went through their tests for a year, including both undergoing treatments to greaten our chances. One year later, still nothing. We have had many conversations over the years about what we wanted in terms of growing our family, adoption was always discussed and now it is our reality. We have learned a lot and prayed even more about the process and options over the last 9 months. We have researched, talked to friends, family and different agencies in order to come to our decision to adopt an infant.

This is an extremely expensive process and are asking for your help to achieve our dream of growing our family. The first step is to attain a home study which is $1,500-3,000 and already funded. Next, we will owe phase 1 payment to the agency of $14,800. This first payment is administrative and marketing based. Then once a birth mother selects our family we will owe another $4,000-6,000 to cover her living and medical expenses. Immediately following, phase 2 payment of $12,800 which is for legal oversight, birth mother services, and adoption plan fees. Finally, we will also be responsible for travel expenses to the birth mothers state as well as independent lawyer fees in whichever birth state. This fee ranges on state but ranges from $7,000-15,000.
The timeline is variable, we are ready for our home study. Once this is complete nothing can happen until we have the phase 1 payment. Upon payment, birth moms will immediately have access to our profile. This will is used for moms to find the best match for their babies. Once a mom chooses our family (which can take a week or several months) interviews with the birth mom will occur. If a match is made the birth mom expenses (as a trust) and phase 2 will be due. Finally, upon babies birth the legal fees and travel expenses. The entire process can take anywhere 3 months to several years until a baby will be home with us.
On top of asking for your support we are working additional side jobs, saving where we can and have started a store producing goods where the entire profit will apply towards our journey.
