<div>In 2017 werd de Waldorfschool Nesselande opgericht door een groep enthousiaste ouders. Wat begon met een kleuterklas, is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een volwaardige school die niet meer is weg te denken uit Rotterdam en omstreken.

<div>Na meerdere tijdelijke locaties is de school gehuisvest in een nieuw, groter – maar wederom tijdelijk – schoolgebouw voor nu minimaal 6 jaar. Het schoolplein is grotendeels betegeld opgeleverd (zie foto’s) en mist de natuurlijke, speelse uitstraling die zo kenmerkend is voor ons Waldorfonderwijs.

<div>De kracht van de natuur en de verbinding met de natuur staan in ons onderwijs centraal. Op ons vorige schoolplein zag je dat terug in de natuurlijke materialen, de moestuin en de tuin- en natuurlessen voor de kinderen. We willen deze elementen dan ook graag terugbrengen, zodat onze leerlingen een groene en uitdagende buitenruimte hebben om te ontdekken, spelen en leren.

<div>Helaas is er vanuit de school geen budget voor de aanleg van een natuurlijk schoolplein. Daarom zetten wij als ouders ons in om financiële middelen te vinden via subsidies, sponsoring door lokale ondernemers en donaties. Afhankelijk van de toegekende bijdragen bepalen we hoe groot ons budget wordt en wat we kunnen realiseren.
