Van for disabled brother

I am asking for help!! My brother was in a car accident approximately 14 ½ years ago that left him paralyzed from the chest down. On his way to work one wintery morning, my brother hit a patch of black ice. His car turned over several times and he ended up in a ditch on the side of the road. It took a few hours of him lying there and not being able to move or get to his phone, until someone spotted the car. The police came and then a Medivac Helicopter came and flew him to the hospital.
After several surgeries and evaluations, my 35 year old brother was told he would never walk again. At the time of the accident my brother’s son was 5 years old. They were inseparable. Also, his wife was pregnant with their daughter. After 7 months of more surgeries and therapy my brother went home to his 5 year old son and brand new baby girl, who was born while he was still in the hospital. His home had to be customized to allow for a ramp and bedroom with shower and so much more.
With assistance from insurance and a 10 year loan he was able to purchase a customized van with a ramp that allowed people to be able to drive him to all of his appointments and therapy. Shortly thereafter, he was divorced, sold his home and moved in with relatives. A short time after that, my brother leaned how to drive the van himself.
As a result of this accident, he lost his mobility, his home and his marriage. A few years ago, my brother was finally able to buy a home where he now lives by himself.
Recently my brother had a minor car accident which resulted in the insurance company totaling his van as they can no longer find the parts needed for the van to operate as needed. The van, which is his lifeline, was 14 years old with 180,000 miles on it.
THIS IS WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP!!!! It has already been 6 weeks and my brother is homebound without transportation. Just to go to a doctor’s visit can cost $200.00 for transportation. I am asking for help to get another van for my brother. He is not looking at new vans he is looking at used vans that will provide him transportation. The cost for a used van will be approximately $60,000.00. In order to afford the monthly payment, Jon needs help. We have to raise $40,000.00.
This van will have the ramp, hand controls, brakes, and buttons installed that he needs in order to be able to drive again. As insurance will no longer provide funding and my brother is permanently disabled this cost is out of reach.
Without a van, my brother will lose all contact with the outside world. He will not be able to be a part of his children’s day to day lives. He will need to hire companies to take him to doctor appointments, dentist appointments, therapy, check-ups etc.
I am looking and searching for anyone that may be able to assist in deferring this expense. Without the van, his quality of life will greatly diminish.
