Helping our loved ones at Valleyview Nursing Home

Covid-19 has changed all of our lives and significantly the lives of our cherished elderly parents, spouses, sisters or brothers.  We know the terrible impact isolation has had and we are grateful to have the option to visit outdoors and to provide our loved ones with the ability to have the sun shine on their faces  in the courtyard.

As we approach the Fall, and the potential challenges that may bring, we are trying to extend the use of the courtyard to allow visits to continue outdoors.

As my mom is a resident, I am trying to help all of our loved ones and the families who support them. 

We need to raise  12k (3k of the required 15k  has already been provided by the home) to allow renting and heating outdoor tents to let the courtyard stay open through October and November.  As a non for profit nursing home, the recent events have created challenges and it is up to us to make this idea come to light!

BUT TIME IS TIGHT!

 We are looking to get to 90% of our goal by September 30th so we can secure the dwindling supply of tents and such. 

We, as families, can make a big difference in how we manage Covid with our loved ones.  The longer we can keep the courtyard open, the safer and  better we all are!

Ask your friends and family- EVERY DOLLAR HELPS! I’m optimistic if we all take up the cause we can make this happen.  If every one of us can secure a minimum of a total of 100$ in donations through our friends and families, we can meet our goal. All it takes is 5 people donating 20$ each! 

If we can’t meet the deadline to make this happen in the Fall, any funds raised will go towards renting and opening the courtyard earlier in the Spring (and if we do raise more than we need for the Fall, we will be able to be well on our way for the Spring).
