Val Licari is a most amazing human being! In the two years since we met, I have watched her fight a fierce battle against cancer. She is a genuine, big hearted and generous woman. She needs our help. Let me share a bit of her story in her own words.
"1st diagnosis was July 30, 2013. I have undergone countless Cyber Knife and treatments for brain tumors, Oligodendrogliom
I have had them for 3 years. 2nd diagnosis is CLL Adult Leukemia. Leukemia has been at 2.5 year battle.
I have been through countless runs of chemo and Cyber Knife. All treatment is done at UCFS, there for travel and toll bridge adds up. I keep pushing and fighting to earn paychecks and feel like life isn't worth fighting for. I find myself in deeper holes. I come up very short because I do miss a lot of hours. . Also the recent passing of Niner who was my absolute fight through it all. I achieved remission 1 time but only for a few weeks. More chemo and cyber knife to follow. Everyday bills getting behind. Cost of prescriptions is getting hard to fill without funds. So I go without ."
Niner was Val's beloved dog as seen in the picture I posted! They had been together for 14 years. Val needs our help. She needs her medications, nutritious food to help fight the cancer, and above all, the ability to stay home and rest instead of having to work while being so sick!
Even the smallest donation will help! Please help me wrap my arms around Val and make her fight a little easier!
