Help Valerie BEAT Cancer

While on vacation this past summer, I received a horrible phone call from my childhood best friend. Valerie informed me that while doing a routine breast exam she discovered a lump and immediately had it checked. On July 3, 2017 she was diagnosed with Stage 2, Level 3 aggression HR+HER2- Ductal Breast Cancer.  She underwent a double mastecomy on August 29, 2017. While healing from surgery, Valerie developed an infection which required an additonal surgery on October 3, 2017. This second surgery has pushed back the start of her chemo treatments. Her extensive 20 week chemotherapy sessions will begin mid to late October.  Anyone that knows Valerie, knows she is a workaholic. Unfortunately, Valerie has been off work since Aug. 25 and can not return any time soon.
