Val Schuler Funeral Expense

Donation protected
Valentina Schuler was 18 years young when she took her life Wednesday April 26th, 2017. In this time of grief, it is a necessity to remember what a beautiful soul Val carried inside of her. Although words are not ever enough, we attempt to recreate personalities and memories with them. Val came into this world with a fire underneath her. She had a fire within her eyes that told you she was going to get what she truly desired. A true characteristic to describe Val was compassionate. She had love for those who needed it. Her ears were always open for those who needed someone to talk about anything. She took into consideration the history of her life when giving feedback and was never short to bring reality into the perspective.

Val's life was not what you would see on an episode of the Brady Bunch, but whose is? Her life was actually quite opposite. Never knowing what was going to come next, she developed a outter shell to protect herself from anguish. Val's shell was thick, it was solid, but she was never afraid to soften it for those in who needed support. Val was strong-willed and intelligent, but notoriously attracted to chaos and risky behaviors. In most situations, she understood what was toxic and what she needed to do to leave the mess behind.

Valentina was young, she was beautiful, she was musically, artistically and cosmetically talented. She was a gift to those around her. She was a support for those who have had the same dark thoughts which ran through her head. She was the hand that wiped the tears of those who had no one. Val's sad story awakens the hope, the encouragement and the help that is needed for those who are also suffering with mental illness. Her sad story inspires the need for Mental Illness awareness. Although Val’s eyes lay rested shut she had the power to open up all of ours to the bold truth. We need to change. We need to understand what mental illness is and provide nesscessary resources so wonders such as Val can have the opportunity to live a fulfulling life.

Please find it in your soul to aid to Valentinas family. In such a time of heart ache, money should not be a struggle the family needs to drag behind them. Every cent counts. Your donations will aid the cost of the funeral and assist the grieving family. Please also use Val's story to be an advocate for those who suffer with mental illness and for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Together we can create solutions. Be the change our youth needs and listen. Val listened.
