With every fight for civil rights and equality comes legal retaliation. We've seen evidence off this throughout each of our communities.  As our leaders and community members are on the front line rallying for justice, there will be arrest. In preparation of what is to come, the VA Black Business Directory (VABBD) has started this legal defense initiative to ensure that we can aid those who are unable to hire legal representation.

I am Ernisha Hall the founder and Executive Director of the VA Black Business Directory, a platform comprised of minority owned businesses in the DC, MD & VA area (DMV).  My goal is to raise funds to aid in covering legal fees for individuals who may suffer retaliation from the criminal justice system as a result of rallying or protesting.

This fund will be used to aide individuals in the following counties:
Stafford County
Spotsylvania County
Fredericksburg City
Fredericksburg County

Funds will be withdrawn and paid directly to help assist with legal expenses for approved beneficiaries. The VABBD Board of Directors (Ernisha Hall, Tracey Hall, Michelle Riddick, Vernon Greene Jr. & Torticia), will review each claim for funds before withdrawals and disbursements are made.
