Hope for Amy

Hello my name is Amy I had a seizure at home in the bath with my son Liam on December 11, 2017 I had three more seizures on the way to the hospital. After two days in a medical induced coma I was awoken and told after a cat scan and mri that I had a brain tumor. Emergency surgery was done two days later where the tumor wasn't removed because the surgeon had said that it was hard to differentiate from good brain cells and tumor cells. After a two month wait and a biopsy from John Hopkins I was told I had a grade 2 astrocytoma and it needed to be removed immediately. I was then recommended to Dr. Mitchell Berger a neurosurgeon at ucsf in San Francisco, California. He was able to remove all of the tumor and the following Thursday I was updated with the bad news of a grade 4 glioblastoma. The most deadly form of brain tumor there is. There are some clinical trials and new research and treatments going on at Duke University that I am going to try and be a part of and hopefully find a cure to this monster known as glioblastoma. Any donation to help my journey to north carolina for lodging or treatment would be greatly appreciated as my husband is a coal miner and obviously we can't easily afford the treatment we are pursuing. Thank you very much and god bless I love you all hopefully God will intervene and cure me.
