deFenders All Veteran Band

deFenders is an all Veteran Band covering classic rock, R&B and pop music from the 60's through the 80's.  We formed nearly 3 years ago as part of the music therapy program at our local VA. 

Our mission is to provide support to our members through team work, friendship and personal growth.  We perform at special events within the VA Medical Center.  We give back to our community by playing at local events for American Legion Posts, VFW Posts and non-profit organizations in support of their fund raising  efforts for such causes as Honor Flight and the annual Poppy Fund Drive.  We play at these events for FREE.

Our motto is "For Life"...which represents our lifetime commitment of service to our country, its Veterans and our community.

We are attempting to raise funds for much needed new equipment and repairs to existing equipment.  While the VA provides much of the gear we use, due to budget constraints, they can not provide everything we need to perform at our desired level. We frequently play with borrowed equipment.  

The equipment we need buy or repair includes sound system speakers and monitors,  amplifiers, miscellaneous percussion pieces, microphones, bass guitar, keyboard, drum heads and cymbals, mic stands, music stands, etc.

All the equipment we purchase as the result of this "Go Fund Me" effort will be donated to the local VA for use  in the music therapy program.
