McPherson Family Fundraiser: Camp Fire Survivors

It is a day the McPherson Family will never forget. They drove out of town, white-knuckled, with the fire burning in their rearview mirror. They took with them nothing but the clothes on their backs. In the months that have followed, they have had to reckon with a new reality. Thankfully, people have opened their home to them for a place to live but with no homeowners insurance, the road ahead of them is long. They had nothing. This family of 3 is facing the difficult task of starting from zero. Monthly bills and expenses make it difficult to make ends meet while they are trying to replace their lost life. But the hardest part about losing everything was losing the things of sentimental value. The list is long of needs, and replacing what was burned up will give them a sense of normalcy and hope. Evan (the Dad) said, "Everyday there’s a harrowing story to hear or a memory of a something you used to own or the sad tired look on a strangers face that lets you know they used to live in Paradise too. We never imagined we would be in a place where we would need to ask so widely for help but are so grateful for the kindness and love that has been shown to us, and are grateful for any help you can give."
